The Hammocks started with a mission to lose weight and ended with a purpose to change others’ lives.
In August 2011, at 250 pounds, Ann Hammock felt trapped. “I allowed my weight to be a prison. It determined where I went and what I did. I couldn’t enjoy life.”
It was due to lack of effort. She tried countless diets and even spent $3,000 at a local weight-loss clinic and only lost four pounds. She was miserable, losing hope, and needed an answer quickly.
Ann learned about AdvoCare’s 24-Day Challenge, and she and her husband, Dusty, went to a friend’s home to learn more about AdvoCare products and the opportunity. “I was looking for a way to lose weight, but we were also looking for a way to bridge the gap financially. We even considered selling our home,” Ann said.
The Hammocks made a decision to stop following the path they were on, and started taking products and became AdvoCare Independent Distributors. “On day seven of the Cleanse phase, at Success School, the upcoming incentive trip for the Mediterranean Voyage was announced. I told Dusty,’We’re going on that boat and I’m going to be a size eight when we get there!'”
The couple left Success School and went to work. Nine months later, they stepped onto the boat for the Mediterranean Voyage–Ann was a size eight! The Hammocks were having so much success when they returned that Dusty became a work-from-home dad.
With her success as motivation, Ann says her mission is to pay the AdvoCare opportunity forward. “Knowing that our decision to say yes to AdvoCare has so many people across the nation connected to AdvoCare seems unreal.”
